Current Inventory and Turnaround Time Updates

CURRENT as of December 1, 2025 

Current turnaround times generally fall within our standard 3 to 7 business day timeframe although there may be particularly light or busy weeks where that may change by a day or two on either end.  Special-order items and add-ons (like bumper stickers and t-shirts) always add to turnaround times depending on inventory availability.  We will not update turnaround times beyond this as they fluctuate day by day and we would rather make drumheads than update webpages or respond to "where is my order?" e-mails.  That said, please plan accordingly.

As for inventory, we have placed large orders with all of our suppliers ahead of the busy holiday season. We currently have sufficient quantities on hand for all of our most popular products, colors and sizes.  That said, inventory challenges (now compounded by tariff uncertainties) continue to plague the music products industry and we are doing our best to stay on top of it.  As items that are heavily dependent on the ready supply of raw materials, drums, drumheads and drum-related products are even more susceptible to fluctuations in supply.  And, since we process a relatively large volume of orders every week (100 to 150 or more), our suppliers are often not able to keep up with our high demand.

While our HeadBuilder drumhead designer is able to identify individual head types, colors and sizes as being out-of-stock, we wanted to use this article as more of an aggregate view of our current supplies for both drumheads and port protectors so our customers can better plan for their purchases.  Also, port protector inventory is NOT actively managed and will not show as out-of-stock in the HeadBuilder.  This page is the definitive place for information on port protector inventory!

Here we will break down general drumhead and port protector supplies by manufacturer:

EVANS:
Evans heads are not in short supply and we are generally able to secure inventory quickly and without delay.  The only exceptions tend to be very large heads (26" or larger), very small heads (16") and specialty heads (Calftone or marching).  Even then, because both Evans and DrumART are both based in New York State, we can usually get even special-order inventory within a week or two.

REMO:

We currently have all types, colors and sizes in-stock and available.  We will be placing another large order with Remo early in the new year in order to maintain adequate stock levels moving forward but we will be sure to update this area in the event that anything runs short.

AQUARIAN:

We currently have all types, colors and sizes in-stock and available.  Like Remo, we will be placing a large order after the holidays to make sure we stay on top of Aquarian inventory and don't run short of what is our most popular brand.

PORT PROTECTORS:

We recently received an order from our main supplier and have most sizes and colors in-stock and available for purchase.  In addition, we have placed large port protector orders with BOTH of our suppliers to ensure we have adequate stock moving forward.  Port protectors tend to be our most difficult item to pin down so we are trying to stay ahead of it by balancing our orders between suppliers.
