March through June is historically our most busy time of the year as bands are ramping up for summer touring season. That said, turnaround times will *generally* fall within our standard 5 to 10 business day timeframe although there may be particularly light or busy weeks where that may change by a day or two on either end. Special-order items and add-ons (like bumper stickers and t-shirts) always add to turnaround times depending on inventory availability. We will not update turnaround times beyond this as they fluctuate day by day and we would rather make drumheads than update webpages or respond to "where is my order?" e-mails. That said, please plan accordingly.
As for inventory, like many other markets inventory challenges continue to plague the music products industry. As items that are heavily dependent on the ready supply of raw materials, drums, drumheads and drum-related products are even more susceptible to fluctuations in supply. And, since we process a relatively large volume of orders every week (100 to 150 or more), our suppliers are often not able to keep up with our high demand.
While our HeadBuilder drumhead designer is able to identify individual head types, colors and sizes as being out-of-stock, we wanted to use this article as more of an aggregate view of our current supplies for both drumheads and port protectors so our customers can better plan for their purchases. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have additional questions, but please understand that we are currently EXTREMELY busy and it may be a few days before we can respond. This list will be updated regularly as more information and estimated delivery dates become available.
Here we will break down general drumhead and port protector supplies by manufacturer:
EVANS:
Generally speaking, Evans heads are not in short supply. The only exceptions tend to be very large heads (26" or larger), very small heads (16") and specialty heads (Calftone or marching). Even then, because both Evans and DrumART are both based in New York State, we can usually get even special-order inventory within a week or two.
REMO:
We currently have most types, colors and sizes of Remo heads in-stock and available and we have placed a large order that we hope will arrive sometime in early- to mid-June. Remo has an extremely unstable shipping process, so more inventory will likely run out before we receive this order. We will keep this page updated as time goes on. That said, we are currently OUT of the following head sizes and colors:
- 22" Ambassador Black
- 22" Powertone Black
AQUARIAN:
Our large Aquarian order has been received and inventory has been updated on the website. We currently have most Aquarian models, colors and sizes in-stock and ready to order. We will be placing a large Aquarian order next week and hope it will arrive before we run out of anything but that is always subject to change. We have the largest number of Full Force heads in the most common sizes (20", 22", 24") so those are always the best choice if you're wedded to Aquarian heads and time is of the essence. We are currently OUT of the following head sizes and colors:

- 22" Classic Clear (transparent)
PORT PROTECTORS:
We have received our most recent port protector order and have good stock on all sizes and colors except the following:
