General Questions
Do you offer 16" and 18" heads?
Yes, we absolutely do make 16" and 18" heads! That said, sizing them can be confusing so please MAKE SURE you're ordering the right type.
Basically, there are two types of 16" bass drums available. The first uses a "standard" wood bass drum hoop with tension rods and claws (like the Sonor Jungle and Safari kits). These require a standard bass drum-sized head with a slightly oversized hoop.
The second uses a metal tom-like flanged hoop with tension rods (like the Yamaha HipGig kit). These drums require a tom-sized head.
If you have a converted 16" floor tom that you're using as a kick drum and it still uses the standard tom hoop, you need the smaller head. If you converted the drum to use hoops and claws, you need the larger head. We currently only stock the tom hoop options from Aquarian, so if you need the smaller sized hoop, be sure to order an Aquarian Classic or Full Force -- all other heads from all other manufacturers only come in the full "hoop and claw" compatible option.
