Can I use a DrumDial or other physical tuning system on my DrumART printed bass drumhead?

We don't recommend it.

Any tuning aid that makes direct contact with the head can mark and scratch it — the same way these weighted metal products mark and scratch standard glossy heads. The difference is that damage to a printed head is a lot more noticeable and a lot more frustrating. That goes double for our HeadLIGHTS finish, where the very thin print that makes the head translucent also makes it more vulnerable to abrasion.

Beyond the scratching, our honest opinion is that these products are a crutch. You'll get further learning to tune by ear and by consistent process. Benny Greb has an excellent series on tuning if you want somewhere to start.
