Artwork and Design
Does the artwork affect the sound of the drum?
No β at least not in any way you'll notice.
We've put real work into developing a printing and application process that delivers the most vivid print and the best possible sound. Because the best-looking custom bass drumhead in the world isn't worth a dime if it makes your drum sound like a cardboard box or if the print flakes, chips or fades.
We use the thinnest, most durable, most flexible, highest-quality digital printing material available. And whether your artwork is printed directly onto the head or laminated to it β we offer both β you get the look and the sound you want.
(If you want the detail on how each option behaves, see "What are the different finish options and what do they mean?")

More In Artwork and Design
- Do you have an online design tool to help me build my DrumART custom bass drumhead? We do β and it's not close to anything else out there.
- What image file types/formats/sizes can you work with? It depends which way you're ordering, and the difference is worth knowing.
- Can you create artwork for me? Yes, absolutely β with one important distinction up front.
- What does "Allow DrumART to Enhance Design" mean? The HeadBuilder is powerful, but sometimes a designer's eye makes the difference.
- Can you match the finish on my kit? The answer is yes.
- Am I required to include the DrumART logo on my drumhead? Absolutely not.
- Are there any restrictions for what I can have printed? Generally: if you have the image, we can print it.
- Can I buy a head from your Customer Design Gallery? Unfortunately not.
