Can you match the finish on my kit?
The answer is yes. The question is price.
Many drummers have seen the work we did for Todd Sucherman's waterfall bubinga Pearl Masters kit. Todd sent us a very high-quality, high-resolution close-up of the finish on his largest drum. We spent a couple of hours tiling it into a large enough image, printed a series of eight or ten samples and mailed them to him. He picked the closest match and we produced his heads from it.
Work like that runs in the $500β$750 range, in addition to the cost of the head.
We also have access to a lot of specialty finishes β sparkles, sequin sparkles, holographics, diamond plates, mirror chromes, carbon fibers, you name it. These differ from the glass glitters on many drumkits because they have to stay thin enough to sound good, but they're often close enough to complement a kit beautifully. Advanced materials generally add $150β$250 to the cost of a head and we produce them on a time-available basis.Β Often, we are too busy to spend the additional time but when we can, we love to do it.Β The results can be truly incredible.Β Unfortunately, the time and cost involved make these nearly impossible for international clients.
If that's not in your ballpark, the ImageAgent and ImageVault inside the HeadBuilder give you access to truly bespoke generative designs and hundreds of millions of high-quality, royalty-free images to choose from. It's hard to imagine not finding something that complements your kit and your style without breaking the bank.

- Do you have an online design tool to help me build my DrumART custom bass drumhead? We do β and it's not close to anything else out there.
- What image file types/formats/sizes can you work with? It depends which way you're ordering, and the difference is worth knowing.
- Can you create artwork for me? Yes, absolutely β with one important distinction up front.
- What does "Allow DrumART to Enhance Design" mean? The HeadBuilder is powerful, but sometimes a designer's eye makes the difference.
- Am I required to include the DrumART logo on my drumhead? Absolutely not.
- Are there any restrictions for what I can have printed? Generally: if you have the image, we can print it.
- Can I buy a head from your Customer Design Gallery? Unfortunately not.
- Can I include manufacturer logos on my DrumART custom bass drumhead? Yes β as long as you legitimately own and play the brand you're advertising, you're allowed to put its logo on your head.
