Does the artwork affect the sound of the drum?

The answer to this question is "no" -- at least not in any meaningful way. We have taken great care to develop a printing and application process that results in the most vivid, vibrant print ANDthe best sound possible.  Because the best-looking custom bass drumhead isn't worth a dime if it makes your drum sound like a cardboard box or if the print flakes, chips or fades over time.

DrumART uses only the thinnest, most durable, most flexible and highest-quality digital printing material available today.  And unlike the competition, our application process allows the artwork to resonate *with* the head and not act as a second ply that binds *against* it.  The net result is a 100% custom bass drumhead with less impact on the sound than the difference between a glossy and a simple texture coated head.  Dont' believe us?  No problem -- see what our customers have to say!
